I am Chronos, leader of the Rogue Time Surfers - anarchist extraordinaire.

To understand the year 2525, one must first understand the nature of Nexus.

Nexus is the beginning, everything in between, and the end.

From the moment you are born, you belong to Nexus.

Nexus sells you food. Nexus sells you clean water. Nexus sells you oxygen, bottled, rationed, or filtered through masks to protect you from the toxic air it helped create.

You live for Nexus. You work for Nexus. You love, reproduce, and ultimately die for Nexus.

Freedom is an antiquity, a discarded concept from a naïve past. Welcome to the ultimate authoritarian nightmare.

And yet, when the word “freedom” has lost all meaning, many choose to embrace Nexus as both mother and father, the caretaker of destiny itself.

You may wonder how a single corporation became the most powerful entity on Earth.

The answer is simple. Nexus controls time travel.

The Nexus Corporation, through its enforcement arm, the Time Patrol Agency, more commonly known as Time Corps, dispatched twelve temporal agents to the year 1492. There, they executed the most malicious and insidious operation ever conceived: the systematic manipulation of history to secure total dominion over Earth, the orbital colonies, the outer rim, and countless asteroids beyond our solar system.

But resistance endures.

The Rogue Time Surfers move against Nexus from the shadows of causality. We travel to critical moments in history, severing time knots, those convergences that inevitably lead to Nexus’s birth and ascension.

Our nemesis is Commissioner Meridian, head of the Time Patrol Agency. Sanctimonious. Methodical. An enemy who will stab an entire timeline without hesitation to preserve Nexus’s continuity and its self-appointed godhood.

I stand now on a rooftop overlooking Nexus Corporation’s headquarters. Below me, the engine of oppression hums with artificial inevitability.

Our plan is in motion. If fortune or fate allows, Nexus will fall to its knees.

At best, it will be erased entirely.

And in the end, TIME itself will restore the balance of the universe.
