More about Kingdom Below, Destiny Ahead

In the age before memory fractured into legend, when the sea still carried the names
of kings upon its tides, there came a moment in which the ordered world was forced
to look upward. The Golden Palace, seat of a lineage older than its domes, stood
upon its cliff in unbroken splendor—its laws extending farther than its shadow, its
reach as broad as the coast it ruled. Yet even stone certainty can be outgrown.

From the palace’s highest court, a warrior cast his defiance not in words, but in
ascent. Bearing the woman whose fate had been written without her consent, he
rose upon the woven winds of an ancient craft, climbing into a sky that had been
forbidden to them both. The carpet, heirloom of forgotten magi, carried them higher
with each beat of the ocean below, its tassels snapping like banners of rebellion.

Those who watched from the battlements saw no fear—only a final, unanswerable
truth. For as the pair lifted beyond the palace’s golden crown, the young warrior
turned his gaze downward. Not in farewell. In victory. He had not merely escaped the
world that sought to bind him; he had surpassed it. And in the shelter of his arm, the
princess—no longer captive, no longer pawn—looked ahead into the widening
horizon where her life would be her own.

The chronicles agree on little from that era, but all preserve this: that on that sun-
shot evening, destiny shifted its allegiance. A kingdom was left beneath them,
diminished by the smallness of its ambition, while two souls rose toward a fate large
enough to bear their names.

No storm caught them.
No arrow reached them.
No command could call them back.

The sky opened, and they entered it.

For kingdoms belong to the earth—
but destiny belongs to those who dare the wind.
