[CONTINUED FROM PART ONE] Soon, a house of clever engineers connects, by many pneumatic pipes, a pianola to an abacus, and creates the first computer. Many nearby houses start developing software for it, by punching holes in blank pianola rolls, in order to form sequences of operations which will be executed by the adjacent abacus. This produces local interest in mathematics and physics, and leads to the realization that the rest of the world may not respect the rights of this community. Soon an invisibility force field is developed, powered by solar neutrino flux. Arialville literally becomes a "ghost town", with the approval of all its citizens, who now feel secure from the chaotic outside world. [TO BE CONTINUED]
