Wanda remembers going to a local phone box, and dialling the "recorded announcement" prefix (246), but instead of continuing, she dialled two random digits (other than 80) followed by the first two digits of a shop she saw in the road opposite. Then she heard a *clunk* so she dialled the remaining two digits, and to her surprise the phone in the shop started to ring. She quickly pressed "Button B" to terminate the call and get her money back. Note that this only worked on the old-fashioned call boxes, and no longer worked when "System X" or the digital phones (DTMF) came out :) No, she never whistled or phreaked any calls, or did anything naughty like that :)
