Poem by Valley Flower
A tiny fairy messenger
before a spider stood
the former clothed
in Lincoln green
and on his head,
a hood.
"I come from Mab",
the queen, "Who holds
court in the woods,
She wishes you
to weave for her
upon the meadow green
three beautiful pavilions
full rich in silver sheen.
Make these palaces
with care, fit for a
fairy queen.
Gather at the break of day
dew drops crystal pure
Make them the very
prettiest that you sir
can secure.
Hang them about
the palaces and that
they're fine, be sure."
So spoke the fairy
messenger, then
quickly went away.
Each one of those
castles fair was
spun without
delay and you may
see them if you look
at dawn on some
warm day.
FAERIES AND MUSHROOMS
WHAT’S THE CONNECTION?
WELL, WHEN THE POEM MENTIONS…
The Pavillions, which are made of spider’s webs…
THIS REMINDS ME…
OF
strands of mycelium
which are also
USED AS A MEANS
to communicate messages;
(like the tiny fairy messenger!)
mycelium
is the
first ever internet,
PASSING INFORMATION.
Not only does it
pass information
but it passes water
and nutrients as well.
it has a
SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP
WITH plants.
AMAZINGLY
one message
the mycelium can pass
is to
warn of predators!
The
PLANT
may then
RELEASE
their particular
CHEMICAL DEFENCES.
WHEN THE POEM MENTIONS…
WEAVERS…
THIS REMINDS ME…
THAT…
under one inch of soil
you can find
8 miles of mycelium.
Some have compared the
MYCELIUM
covering the planet
to a
NEUROLOGICAL NETWORK
LIKE OUR BRAINS.
This
Makes the imagination
SOAR
with the thought
that we
ARE TRULY
part of a
LIVING PLANET!
with that in mind
a
FUN THOUGHT
is
perhaps
CROP CIRCLES
are created by the earth
in an attempt to
communicate to us
through this
neurological network!
WHEN THE POEM MENTIONS…
The former dressed in lincoln green and on his head a hood!
THIS REMINDS ME…
OF
Paul Stamets Hat!
which is
made of a mushroom
called Amadeau!
WHEN THE POEM MENTIONS…
Gather at the break of day dewdrops crystal pure.
THIS REMINDS ME…
OF THE
moisture given off
by the mushrooms
WHICH CONTAIN essential enzymes
that
boost
the immune system
of bees;
our immune system
as well!
