One in an occasional series of dreams based upon my reading. (I'm an avid bookworm). My thanks are due to Unicorngraphics for their "Literary Masterpieces" series, which was my inspiration.

A 1950s pulp magazine-style illustration by Frank Frazetta shows a muscular, shirtless man in dark blue swim trunks and a busty blonde woman in a dark green swimming suit, both with glowing, perfect tans, standing by the edge of a lake at night. They are pulling a large, ornate bronze bell partially submerged in the water onto shore with a thick rope. The full moon is visible in the sky, reflecting brightly on the dark water. In the background a large, old mansion with illuminated windows stands on the far side of the lake, nestled among dark trees. The shoreline is rocky and uneven, and a coiled rope and a lit lantern sit on the ground to the right. The style is reminiscent of romance comics or adventure novels, with a moody atmosphere.
