Her face is featureless — just a smooth porcelain mask — but her neck splits open to reveal a grin filled with black teeth. Cherry blossoms die as she passes, petals curling into moths. Her geta sandals leave trails of calligraphy in the dirt, and her voice is a koto played in reverse. Incense follows her — bitter, nostalgic, wrong.
