No sooner had the perspective settled than the universe seemed to crack. A massive energy blast slammed the hull. The cabin became a hell of violent, continuous shuddering. Smoke billowed, sparks rained down, and every gauge screamed CRITICAL FAILURE in a strobing red light. The left pilot, Commander Kael, fought desperately against the G-forces, his gloved hand yanking the stick back, his body jostled aggressively as the ship went into a rapid, uncontrolled pitch towards the burning ground. The final sound was the deafening roar of the atmosphere ripping past a damaged hull.
