Prompt: Carnival at the Sambadrome in Rio de Janeiro. Eighty thousand spectators sit in the stands of the Sambadrome in Rio in the evening, still in very warm weather, and loudly cheer on their dancers from the respective samba schools. On competition nights, the Sambadrome comes to life when the samba schools run along the route, singing and dancing to the thundering rhythm of the "bateria" or drum corps. Particularly beautiful dancers in very skimpy outfits with huge headdresses and high-heeled shoes smile at the spectators. By the time they reach the end of the route at Apotheosis Square, the participants are exhausted but hopeful that they have done enough to attract the attention of the judges and perhaps win the championship title.
