ArtistShe emulated The man she hated. Stuck up, sexed up, Oversized clown pinup. Her emotions ran as deep As the faces she painted. She shaved her brow To hide her true expression Stared at the mirror for hours Practicing her reaction. Her soul diseased with dark intention
A young beautiful woman was born without a heart. Being aware that she lacks empathy, she studies her face in the mirror for hours, trying to right her expression, but no matter what she does, it’s never quite right. So she shaves her brows, and paints her face, to show the world just what she wants it to see.
The woman uses her new found craft to feed on the innocents of others, while playing the victim roll. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. You would think that this would have given her a sense of purpose, but…
She is empty, always empty.
Always staring into that mirror, wondering, what exactly is missing? Why is it that she can’t replace it with something procured, or why she cannot imitate it.
It’s because an imitation heart is nothing more than a projection of life on to a corpse. From far away, it may appear viable, but at closer glance you can see that there is no movement. You can certainly steal someone’s heart, but it can not replace one that is missing. A soul born without a heart, and has a black hole in its place, could never house someone else’s heart. Instead, they will only suck the life out of those who love them, and will still, always feel empty.
Just as she will always stare at that mirror.
