Lorktat, a made up name that I'm using as an artefact in my Sapphire & Steel short story (which is going very well!)

In a dark, gothic-style chamber, a bearded man in a tattered, brown hooded robe holds an ornate, glowing puzzle box, called the Lorktat Cube. The man has wide, desperate eyes and tears streaming down his face as he clutches the cube which emits bright green and yellow light. Smoke billows around the man and cube, rising from the cube and the chamber floor. Behind him is a tall, arched doorway leading to a purple and green cosmic-like void, with the silhouette of a dark, gothic castle visible within the void. Torches burn on the stone walls, shedding warm light on the scene, while an inscription on the wall above the man's right shoulder reads, "HE WHO POSSESSES THE LORKTAT CUBE COMMANDS THE THRESHOLD. HE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE LORKTAT CUBE BECOMES THE THRESHOLD." The chamber itself is detailed with cobwebs and damp, worn stone.
