A furry and inquisitive humanoid badger, clad in a vintage-inspired outfit, perched on a wooden stool before a typewriter. The typewriter, a Model 1920, rests on a small wooden desk, its keys gleaming in the soft light of a kerosene lamp that sits nearby. The badger's paws are dexterously striking the keys, each keystroke resulting in a satisfying clack as the ribbon transfers ink to the paper. A stack of blank paper and a few completed pages are neatly arranged to the side, and a few strips of adhesive tape peek out from under the desk, evidence of the badger's attempts at repairing the typewriter's faulty "k" key. The walls of the cozy workspace are adorned with posters of famous authors, as well as a framed certificate proclaiming the badger's completion of a typing course from the local community center. The badger seems engrossed in its work, its tongue poking out as it concentrates on forming each letter perfectly, the rhythmic clacking of the keys providing a soothing soundtrack to the scene.
"The Mole had long wanted to make the acquaintance of the Badger. He seemed, by all accounts, to be such an important personage and, though rarely visible, to make his unseen influence felt by everybody about the place. But whenever the Mole mentioned his wish to the Water Rat, he always found himself put off. 'It's all right,' the Rat would say. 'Badger'll turn up some day or other—he's always turning up—and then I'll introduce you. The best of fellows! But you must not only take him as you find him, but when you find him.'"
