The setting is a small town in the early 1950s. On the left side of the picture, we see an indoor theater called the “Majestic”. They are showing the movie “The Day the Earth Stood Still” it is almost 6:00 PM and the Evening matinee is about to start. Exited, happy movie goers are lined up at the ticket booth, all up and down the sidewalk. They are young and old alike, but mostly children. They are all dressed in early 1950s clothing, kids wearing plaid shirts and blue jeans with rolled up cuffs, etc.. The sun has just begun to go down so that the neon marquee is clearly visible, glowing brightly
