Jesus was a prophet who fulfilled Old Testament prophecy by revealing God's truth, performing miracles, and teaching with divine authority, , though his prophetic role is also understood as the culmination of a unique office as the ultimate Prophet. He is the prophet foretold by Moses in Deuteronomy 18, who would bring God's words to the people and is greater than Moses. In Islam, Jesus is also revered as a prophet, a messenger of God.
