Such lighting creates an atmosphere of peace and light fabulousness, and the architectural elements evoke associations with ancient European capitals. To the left of the scroll are two massive candles with thick waxes and bright flames, illuminating the table and emphasizing the vintage atmosphere of the setting. The color of the image is mostly warm, with golden-brown, amber and ochre shades, sometimes turning into darker woody and gray-blue tones in the depth of perspective. The textures of all the objects are carefully drawn — the rough surface of wood, folds of paper, smooth streams of wax, worn but dense book covers, as well as paving stones create a sense of genuine tangibility of objects.
