This single ranked 44th on the Billboard, the main American chart, but did not enter the British charts. This song also appears on the group's third album, Fifth Dimension, released on July 18 of the same year. After the release of the influential Eight Miles High, 5D seemed to push the boundaries of the Byrds' psychedelic experiments even further. 5D, produced by Allen Stanton, also sees the organ participation of Van Dyke Parks.
