Of all the views, the view through the cat's ears is the most interesting. One can only wonder what thoughts are running through the cat's head.
In this case, the tomcat may be wondering whether to go down the valley, because he will be going back uphill. People who move to a summer apartment in the recreation area, often don't have their own cats, so they feed the stray ones. If they are already there, it would make sense to go there. But it is still early in May, and it could happen that a hungry and exhausted tomcat would have to walk up a whole hill to get back to his food bowl.
