ArtistBattlebots in a Medieval digital basement, with tube trains.
Since I obviously use DDG a bit less than I used to a few weeks ago, I have started watching YouTube again, because YouTube has seen fit to produce a usable Vestel Client App. The old one was unusable as it ignored all keyboard input, requiring a powercycle to recover.
So what do I watch?
Adrian's Digital Basement (and similar retro PC series) are good for a bit of PC building nostalgia, covering 286, 386, 486, and various peripheral cards.
BattleBots, of course, currently my favourite TV series, has tons of stuff on YouTube.
Sims Medieval gets an occasional look at, even though I no longer play the game. I've still got Sims 2 and Sims 3 installed, but hardly play them (even with cheat codes).
Jago Hazzard and other London Underground videos (e.g. Geoff Marshall) is still interesting, since the London Underground is (was) probably my favourite railway (despite having a local heritage railway here in the East Midlands).
When watching YouTube, always go for the lesser-used videos, as they are less likely to be hit by adverts, at least in the first half of the video. Kepp one finger on the PAUSE key, and one on the MUTE button. If a short advert arrives, press MUTE and focus on the rotating orange timer in the bottom right corner. If a long advert comes on, press PAUSE and ESCAPE, to abort the video, and watch another!
This description is one in a continuing series of blogs from me :)
