A Red-Eared Slider turtle (Trachemys scripta elegans) who has a shell made of abalone shell....the bling turtle. The idea came when I was looking at my beading supplies & had some mother of pearl beads and a turtle carve out of natural Lapis lazuli ... maybe this dream will give me the incentive to make a necklace combining those shell beads and the turtle as the pendant portion.
