ArtistIf I had a basement I would be doing quite a bit of squirling.
A wide shot captures an unfinished basement with a brown carpeted floor, exposing wooden ceiling beams, pipes, and electrical wiring. Two bright fluorescent lights illuminate the space. The left side features a finished light-colored wall with an entry point and a small, illuminated window, showcasing a complete section of the basement. A switch plate is visible on the finished wall. The back wall is painted a dark gray or charcoal color, contrasting with the unfinished right side, which reveals concrete walls and exposed wooden studs ready for framing, with electrical wires running throughout. A black broom lays flat on the rug below a door frame between the finished and unfinished walls on the left. The back half of the basement remains dark where the lighting doesn't reach. The finished, lighter portion of the room has a wall that turns a corner, with a metallic pipe descending along it. From the visible doorway in that corner, it appears to be another section of the room or another room entirely. The space as a whole conveys a sense of a partial renovation or an ongoing construction project.
