When Jesus said, "I am the door," he was referring to himself as the exclusive way to salvation and eternal life, as described in John 10:7-9. He stated that those who enter through him will be saved and will find life and provision. This metaphor also positions Jesus as the true shepherd of his flock, contrasting himself with "thieves and robbers" who come to "steal and kill and destroy".
