It is said that in the beginning, even before the gods fashioned the realms, a single being watched over the invisible thread of Time. Neither man, nor god, nor machine, he was—and remains—the Guardian. Draped in armor made of forgotten alloys, encrusted with gears turning to celestial rhythms, he watches in the Citadel of Spheres, a place beyond this world, beyond the ages. In his hand, he carries the Orb of Cycles, a living core of blue light that pulses with every beat of the multiverse. With it, he reads the past, observes the present, and keeps the doors of the future closed to those who would dare force them. His staff, forged in the shadow of a dead star, can break the world's clocks or restart them. His words are not words, but commands etched into the very fabric of reality. No one knows his true name, for the name of such a being cannot be spoken without time shuddering. But a whisper crosses the planes, carried by forgotten currents: "When ages collapse and kingdoms dissolve, the Guardian will open the Gates of Final Twilight." And then, time, too, must choose a side.
