Full screen, side-lit, sharp-focus, macro-view large watercolor of a shallow, light-green, rough-patterned, ceramic bowl containing several purple figs fruits. One figs outside the bowl is halved to show the large, smooth, brown pit and the delicately color purple creamy edible part. The bowl stands on a smooth beechwood cutting board along with a small, simple, green-handled paring knife. The wall behind the culinary arrangement is apricot-colored, and the sunrays cast a pattern of pink, orange, apricot and gold onto the wall. The avocados, the bowl and the cutting board with the knife are deftly, lovingly and painstakingly rendered in diaphanous watercolor with exquisite detail. Above all thefigs are extremely detailed, with the details partly emphasized with pen-and-ink. The wall is out of focus, blurry, splotchy and is speedpainted in wet watercolor and alcohol ink. The aquarelle is painted all the way to the edges of the heavy, handmade rag paper. Prize-winning, museum quality biology aquarelle illustration in the style of famous contemporary biological illustration artists and Simonetta Occhipinti Pierre-Joseph Redouté, Jakob Demus, Hildegard Könighofer and Margareta Pertl as well as Siobhan Larkin.
