Prompt

Hyperrealistic, Film noir gritty style tough manly serious expression detective in a smart grey suit (resembling Michael Fassbender & no hat) standing next to an elegant sophisticated woman in a smart fashionable dress (resembling Ruth Wilson). The woman is holding the Aztec metal cube of evil and both the man and woman are staring at the cube intently as it starts to glow with bluish light casting shadows on the walls. Behind the man & woman on the Library's wood panel wall a full length dark dimensional doorway appears (with glowing blue edges) and a red eyed dark unspeakable fiend begins to emerge from the pitch dark reaching round to grab the edge of the doorway with one scaled claw. Next to the Dimension Doorway are cedar bookshelves of ancient leather bound Magical tomes (various sizes and shades and decrepitude). The overall mood is uncanny, a mystery, danger & seduction insanely detailed by Manuel Sanjulian & Gerald Brom

More about The Return of Sapphire & Steel - The Mayan Cube of Destruction...

Sapphire & Steel was a cult British science-fiction and supernatural fantasy television series that aired on TV from 1979 to 1982. The show follows two enigmatic, interdimensional "operatives" who take human form to protect the fabric of Time from malevolent forces and anomalies.

In my re-imagining of the series Sapphire is played by Ruth Wilson & Steel by Michael Fassbender. These two would be incredible in these roles. Slight change of name the Mayan Civilisation is a lot older than the Aztecs and as I writing this as a short story I needed something a little more exotic.

Sapphire was originally played by Joanna Lumley - she had the power to manipulate time, such as "rolling it back" for short periods.
Steel was originally played by David McCallum - A cold, no-nonsense figure with immense physical strength and the ability to drop his body temperature to absolute zero

If you can get hold of the original series, its worth it...
