As mentioned in the previous artwork description (the molecule with smileys) capacitance is like persuasion, and inductance is like habit. Now if you put them together, you get an oscillator. Consider Mr. Max Well who yoyo's between his factory and his bank, with his house in the middle. His requirement for money persuades him to oscillate back and forth, going up the road to his factory every day and up the road the other way to the bank to deposit his wages to pay his bills. In the middle is his house, where he occasionally relaxes and maybe unwinds from this habitual (inductive) behaviour. Since no oscillator is perfect (due to damping losses and resistance) Max Well eventually wears out and gets fed up. This may result in other forms of persuasion (capacitance) and habituation (inductance).
