Artist(((Masterpiece))) A Japanese-American Shin-Nisei with sesame skin and brown flowing balayage hair with streaks of grey is making apple butter in a big pot. She wears a long sleeve zip sweater in deep turquoise. She writes labels, let's it cool in jars. Then bags it for the freezer.
Apple Butter--
While the cold winter demanded wood fire...apples are sweet and perfect to make natural apple butter without added sugar. There is aeven a ring of fruit leather (precursor to thin fruit roll ups) Every freezer bag is about 12-14oz of smooth spiced perfection. Local American tradition...overshadows personal preference. Too much! Too many bushels of apples...this reduces them.
