To cats, a black and white image appeared the same as a color image today. Of our colors, they can distinguish blue from red and green shades, but they still lack ultraviolet on the screen (cats also see in three colors like us, but they cannot distinguish green and red). On the other hand, they will appreciate any movement on the screen. But our cat prefers to listen to the chirping of birds, which was added as a sound to similar old nature documentaries.
