ArtistThe skyline. In art deco regards. A crescent moon and stars. Impressionism. Deep hues of blue and red. Almost like markings with pen and ink. Airplanes in the sky, radio waves, and the ocean. At one time you could fly coach on British Airways and be served several meals with metal cutlery. It is almost as if it was what has become business class. There is some real mystique surrounding air travel. All in the former TWA terminal, 1975, at the former JFK Airport, just outside NYC, the big apple. Yes a big red delicious apple!
A highly detailed and colorful illustration in a Mid-century modern style, depicting an air hostess in a red suit serving a meal to a man at a table, surrounded by other diners in a restaurant with large arched windows overlooking a city skyline at night. In the background, there's a TWA sign, other people are seen through the window, and two airplanes are flying in a starry sky with a crescent moon. The city skyline is illuminated with buildings and a prominent radio tower, with a river in the foreground. The illustration has a scratchy, textured appearance, with visible brushstrokes and lines, and a warm, inviting color palette dominated by blues, reds, and oranges, reminiscent of a vintage travel poster or conceptual art. In the lower right corner, there's a large, stylized red apple.
