As a Christian, I hold certain beliefs about relationships and identity, and while I may not personally acknowledge or support same-sex relationships, I also see the importance of respect and understanding. On this Diversity Saturday, I want to appreciate those who are different, in all the ways that make us unique—whether it’s age, ability, sexual orientation, religion, or something else that sets us apart.
I also recognize the struggles within myself—my experience with anxiety and panic attacks, the challenges of mental health that are often hidden. Even when it's hard to find my place, I believe that every person, regardless of their circumstances, deserves respect and kindness. We all have our own battles, and it’s in our differences that we learn and grow. Today, I celebrate the diversity that makes us all human.
