How do we draw forth
on a cloudy day
the brilliance
of the Sun
to illuminate
warm, encourage
our Hearts and Mind
to Reach, Grow
Extend Toward
the Jewels, the
True Treasures
of Life, Beyond
Measure, than that
which is held tightly
gripped by those
unfortunates
who may tip
All that is Truly
Valuable
to an end.
How do we
float Buoyant--
Breathe, with ease,
with our Head
and Breast above waters
that are churning
turbulent, threatening
to overcome, drown
us within their
darkened ways--
How do we see
ourselves to
better
days?
How do we stay
full of Light, Love
Beauty and Laughter,
Hopefully, Thereafter,
Life
Fill with
Wondrous Music
and Song?
How Do We Hold On
to the Life Boat
that may carry us through
the Storm until
we can form
a new way of Seeing,
Being?
It may be
by Believing
in a golden seed
waiting deep
within
our own hearts,
and mind, to grow
in kind, with Light.
This has been told
in many stories
of old
throughout time.
But, Must we wait
until the conditions
are just right, or should we
push through the darkness,
the earth, like seeds, trusting
the Light will come forth,
that we will give birth
to something New, Young
and Beautiful, Joyous,
Wondrous to Behold--
Again, Countless Stories
and Myths of Old
have told that
This Is So,
That the Real Gold
Is Within Our Own
Hearts and Mind,
Each and Every One
Born Into This Earth
Has a Gift, a Seed of
Something Wonder Full
that We May Bring
into the World,
Unfurl from the darkness
into the Light--
So Perhaps,
a Wish Upon a Star
Within the Darkness
of the Night
Along With Our Willingness
to Give This Gift
Just Might Be
How We may See
Our Way through
Until the Brilliance
of the Sun
Shines warm
upon Us
Again.
