My Dad is a musician, so I developed a love for music at a very early age. I also developed an appreciation for, not just good lyrics, but for the story tellers.

The photo is of Tom Waits- one of the best storytellers in music. His lyrics implant themselves into your brain- creating vivid imagery. He takes you on a journey with his words.

I have quite a few favorite musical storytellers- Neil Fallon from Clutch, Siouxsie Sioux, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Les Claypool, Johnny Cash, etc...

The next time you listen to the music from these talented peopley-creatures, really listen to their lyrics. Let them take you on a journey of more than the music itself. Listen to their stories.
