"King Kong Escapes" always annoyed me as a kid. I wanted it to be filmed with stop motion and dark moody jungles, not Toho style. Now that the information age has dawned, I found out Toho had a deal with Rankin-Bass, who had the (then) currently running TV cartoon of King Kong, so this movie is more of a live action version of that cartoon! Makes sense in that light. Here they are battling and dancing and hanging on to Linda Miller.
