Sometimes we judge the value of experiences by how ephemeral they are. How short lived the experience is, or how short lived the memory of it is likely to be are weighed against the risks and the effort put in. At the heart of that equation is memory, an uncontrollable variable. Memory is often ephemeral, but it is also the reason anything else is ephemeral.
A highly detailed, intricate, and vibrant digital painting depicts an apocalyptic explosion over a body of water during sunset, with a dark night sky dotted with stars above. A massive mushroom cloud dominates the center, rendered in shades of fiery orange, glowing reds, and dark blues, suggesting intense heat and smoke. Within the cloud, several bright orange orbs glow like internal fires. The mushroom cloud's stem connects to an intensely bright, glowing orange epicenter at the horizon, where a single vehicle, possibly an older model car, is silhouetted against the blinding light.
Surrounding the explosion, a multitude of small, rectangular objects resembling computer keys or dice with illegible text are scattered and floating through the air, their perspectives suggesting rapid movement away from the blast. Some are closer to the viewer, while others are further in the distance. The body of water, likely a lake or ocean, is characterized by large, frothing waves radiating outwards from the explosion's center. Several partially submerged, older model cars are visible in the turbulent water, suggesting a catastrophic event.
The setting sun casts a warm orange and pink glow across the horizon and the lower edges of the cloud, contrasting with the deep blue of the night sky, which transitions into
