You might ask, Ronnie Milsap? You mean the guy who had all those middle of the road hits? Yep, that guy. Before Ronnie Milsap hit the Nashville big time as a chart topping Country Pop artist, he was in Memphis burning it down six nights a week at T.J.’s nightclub. It was American Sound producer Chips Moman who lured Milsap from Atlanta and soon enough, the blind pianist was playing sessions, including Elvis Presley’s great “Kentucky Rain.” We have a serving of Milsap on the platter that is proof he could throw down.
