More about The Tale of Sir Jupp of Bram

I warmly welcome you to this place and would now like to introduce myself. My honorable name is Sir Joseph of Bram, and I'm a true Knight, probably the oldest still active knight in the Christian West. Since all the titles I have acquired over the years would go beyond the scope of this article, for the sake of simplicity, just call me "Jupp". I was born Anno Domini 1078 on June 6th in In the free imperial city of Tremonia of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation as the knight's Wigbolds the Bold second son Since my older brother Heinrich would one day inherit my father's fiefdom and castle, I should first go to a monastery. However, thanks to the saints, my uncle Albrecht the Black took me into his service as a squire. There I learned the knightly craft and knightly virtues. With Albrecht and my brother, we followed Pope Urban II.'s call to crusade, and in fact, in anno Domini 1099, we conquered Jerusalem, the center of the world. As one of the first crusaders I stood on the battlements of the Holy City, an indescribable feeling. Shortly afterwards, for my exceptional bravery in the field, I received my sword and thus became Knight Jupp. In the years that followed, I experienced many adventures as a brave knight, took part in numerous tournaments and fought victoriously in many battles. During this time there was also a special event that happened to me when I was looking for the Holy Grail with a unknown young knight named Percival. Although the chronicles keep it quiet, in truth it was I who found the Grail. To celebrate this properly, I felt the Grail full to the brim with my best wine and drank it. I can't remember what happened next, except that I felt very strange and felt into a deep, deathlike sleep. Percival thought I was dead, and took the Holy Grail to Camelot to the legendary Round Table, that's why the chroniclers only mention him. But I wasn't mad at him. I don't remember when I awoke, but something paranormal had happen .The years, or should I say centuries, passed by, and it seemed as if time couldn't harm me. I became thinner and thinner until finally only my bones remained, but I was alive. So DEATH didn't want to take my soul, but he became from now on my best, closest friend. What was I supposed to do with all the fame, all the treasure, and most importantly, all the time? That's why I continue to experience many new adventures, as you can marvel at here, and I hope you enjoy it!
