It seems possible to synthesize the distorted patterns of glass used in stained glass. The little warbles you can see here come the triangular pattern of the style.

So some fraction of the style pattern survives after the first step in the color transfer technique, which makes sense since we only transfer 90% of the base image style to the image used for its color.

Also, since we only transfer a fraction of the color back to the base image, the original color is mixed with the incoming color.
