More about Decay

Love (like life) will decay and fall away
Nothing is forever
The heart fools us in to believing
Giving us false hope
Ringing the bell of happiness in the air
But leaving the bowl empty at our feet
We need to feel want and wanted
To love and be loved
A balance on the beam of life
To stabilize and be stabilized
We are whole
Yet we feel loneliness like we are not
Some things just aren't meant to be
But we hold on so tightly
Because our heart doesn't want to let go
We don't want to let love decay
We want it to stay beautiful and pure
But this is not the nature of life
Everything wains in the setting sun
To make way for life that the dawn will bring.
