More about art nouveau study six, part one of four

Continuing with Mucha, but now looking at the impact of scaling the styles. Here we see 'coffee beans two' at 80%. The lines in this appear to have come through strongly, although perhaps there are more 'unrealistic' features. There is also a large degree of smearing. Likewise, on the subjects hips and breasts, the style is not particularly 'strong'. There appears to be a relationship between how well the style conveys and the degree of noise in an image. This particular subject was a very clean reprint of a Mucha original. Perhaps adding some Gaussian noise would give the style a bit of something to grab onto and reduce smearing? Also, what is the relationship between smearing and style scaling?
