The Black Orchard does not grow in any known place, yet it appears in many stories across cultures. Its fruits glow faintly in the dark, each containing a memory, a desire, or a forbidden truth. The Keeper tends this orchard tirelessly, ensuring that no fruit falls into the wrong hands—though what “wrong” means remains unclear. Some who have found the orchard describe an overwhelming temptation to taste the fruit, believing it will grant knowledge or closure. But every fruit comes with a price. Consuming one binds the eater to the orchard in unseen ways, slowly drawing them back until they too become part of the soil. The Keeper itself is rarely hostile, but its presence is suffocating, filled with silent judgment. It is said that every fruit grows from a secret buried by someone who thought it would never be found.
