Hearing Sensitivity (Hyperacusis) finely attuned ears...
Still only a disability probably in New York State in the USA. Hearing sensitivity can be debilitating when there is an auditory collapse of tolerance of sound. What it really means? Is that we hear things many times louder than normal humans and It becomes overwhelming-- similar to drowning in the most subtle sounds. Yet we are supposed to get the classification nationally when few want to hear our stories or help. They listen to others with different hearing impairments or disabilities. Yet each different impairment needs its own classification.
