A cluster of weathered rural mailboxes stands beside the coastal road of Cap Corse, directly beneath the imposing wall of a traditional Corsican cemetery. Painted in transparent watercolor with delicate ink engraving, the scene transforms an authentic roadside curiosity into a meditation on memory, correspondence and the quiet coexistence of everyday life with eternity.

Artistic Statement:
Rather than inventing fantasy, this work discovers poetry within reality. The improbable encounter between modest mailboxes and monumental mausoleums creates an almost surreal dialogue without departing from a faithfully observed Corsican landscape.
