There are many old streets and Baroque houses of this kind in Taiwan (Sanhsia, Sinhua etc.), most of them constructed during early 20th century, around 100 years ago.
Nowadays these districts have become tourist attractions, to catch the air of nostalgia. The houses are used as stores, many of them passing down one generation after another.
