ArtistA dark forest at night. A ring of ancient oaks with gnarled and entagled roots forms a kind of hollow. In the hollow three anthropomorphic cats are sitting around a fire.The first cat is fully white, the second cat is orange and roundish and the third cat is an elderly tabby. The three anthropomorphic cats wear red robes and cloaks and carry a rapier in a sheath attached to their belt. A black cat wearing black leather clothes and a black mask crouches on the roots of the oaks in the background and hesitantly approaches the fire.
In Purrsepolis, the three Wiskerteers have searched high and low for their elusive quarry. They have visited every town and village, consulted record halls, interviewed countless citizens... The only thing they have uncovered is that sightings of the cat burglar go back centuries. Yet who or what this being is, no one knows. No one has ever spoken to them or if they have, they never revealed what they gleaned of the encounter.
One night, they sit exausted by the campfire. "I am beginning to think we are chasing a fantom," sais Athena, "Perhaps this cat burglar is nothing but a tall tale to scare little kittens and credulous cats." But even as she sais this, a shadowy figure approaches with silent, yet hesitant steps. Could it be? Could it really be the one they have been seeking? It is. All three Wiskerteers reach for their swords, but the cat burglar is unarmed. "I mean you no harm," he sais. "I know why you are looking for me. But I am innocent. Come with me to my secret hideout and I will show you what I do."
