Circaetus gallicus - is a medium-sized bird of prey in the family Accipitridae which also includes many other diurnal raptors such as kites, buzzards and harriers.
This is an Old World species spread throughout the Mediterranean basin and into Russia and the Middle East, and into parts of Asia
