1. You must learn to listen to silence.

6. Adopt a child for an afternoon.
Not permanently — just for an afternoon. Let them teach you how to wander again. If they return you to the camp laughing, you pass. If they return you serious, you must try again tomorrow.
7. Know one song well enough to repair a broken heart.
Doesn’t matter if it’s old, new, stolen, invented, whispered, or hummed. The only requirement is that it can stitch someone’s spirit back together at 2 a.m.
8. Treat every stranger as a traveler and every traveler as a teacher.
We are all passing through something. Ask good questions, offer warm food, and keep your judgments in your pockets.
9. Swear loyalty to no road.
Roads are invitations, not obligations. Take them or abandon them as needed. True belonging is portable.
10. Know that family is earned, not assigned.
Sit by the fire long enough, share enough stories, carry your share of sorrow and laughter — then the circle will open for you.
