The suffering and loss of life among the children of Ukraine has been one of the most upsetting consequences of this ongoing invasion.

Last Saturday a ten-year-old girl named Polina Kudrin was shot dead - together with her parents as the family tried to escape from Kiev.

You might have seen this wonderful photo of her smiling during happier times, perhaps it was taken from a day at the beach. Today her little brother also passed away from his gunshot wounds, leaving their older sister in critical condition as the soul survivor of the family.
