It's probably pretty easy to tell that this one's a digital collage without me spelling it out on account of the fact that the foreground elements refused to blend properly with the background elements, even after multiple attempts to filter them through an appropriate style filter. Despite this imperfection, I actually really like this piece. The starship was created using the text-to-image generator with a traditional NASA rocket as a guiding image and a prompt that heavily emphasised the word 'Baroque'. I then iterated on the result in order to incorporate more decoration and clockwork elements. The space-station it's leaving from was a little simpler- I just took a picture of an atom, fed it into the text-to-image generator and combined it with a prompt that mentioned Armillary Spheres. The background was a second-generation text-to-image nebula based off a pre-existing image from my back-catalogue of stuff. Finally, the planet was just a stock image from the interwebs. Once I'd combined them, I filtered them through the raw nebula image as a style in order to try and get the pieces to fit together without any jagged edges. It... didn't quite work. Nontheless, I really enjoy the epic sci-fi look of the piece. Kind of reminds of one of those retrofuturist novel covers from the 80s or 90s. I might have to write a short story to go with it.
