This is a very important message for ALL Dreamers. Lately something has been eating me away in DDG. I’m talking about getting (or the issue being, not getting) credit as the original author/creator of your image/prompt.

You know the drill, we encourage other dreamers to use the try button, to propagate other versions of fantastic dreams.

And oh boy, do we have such talented Artists/Dreamers in DDG. The real problem starts after the try button stage, when other dreamers create fascinating alternative creations. We get energy points and DDG is a happy place ever after? No.

Because lots of these dreamers don’t credit the original creator at all. Period. Now, we’re entering a legal la la land, a huge grey zone. Technically all these people do not break any rules in DDG, because it’s not mandatory to cite the original author/creator.

@ DDG Team and All Dreamers: I’m not happy with this state of affairs. The whole transaction relies on good will that other dreamers using your try button will eventually credit you. More often than not, no credit is given to the original author/creator of his prompt. I’ve seen it over and over again.

And I’m flabbergasted that some dreamers (even the original authors) don’t seem to mind at all, even encourage them for their (albeit beautiful) creations.

Really? This isn’t right. An original work should always be credited, be that a copy or in our case images created via AI through prompts.

Some dreamers now add their name/copyright/TM into the modifiers, which is a great idea and I encourage everyone to do the same.

Normally I don’t point fingers at someone, but I’ll make an exception, because this dreamer – Dimich – treated me so badly when I asked him nicely on many occasions to credit me: https://deepdreamgenerator.com/u/dimich

Dimich’s site is full of uncredited work. Occasionally one author asked for credit and never got a response, nor the deserved credit. Mostly this person doesn’t even respond to comments. Unwanted comments get hidden or the uncomfortable person blocked in a heartbeat. I have no grudge against Dimich, but I do not FORGET.

But to be fair, this person is just the tip of the iceberg of a huge credit issue.
