Ecology and biology are very often misused to justify homophobia, and as a biologist and someone in a queer relationship, this bothers me deeply. I wanted to generate a piece for a presentation, and this isn't going to work, but I really like it for other reasons. The natural world holds deep wisdom and natural wonders in the form of dazzling diversity, and I think this begins to approach a symbolic representation of that beauty.
