Huang Tu-Shui began to sculpt the marble sculpture 'Gan Lu Shui' in 1919, and was selected for the 3rd Imperial Exhibition in 1921. Huang Tu Shui believes that the white crystal marble expresses a feeling of smoothness and purity, and has a completely different aesthetic feeling from wood carving. This marble sculpture with naked women as the theme, also known as 'Clam Elf', is a sculpture of a watery and meditative girl who emerges from an open clam shell. Except for the two legs interlaced in front and back, the whole structure adopts symmetrical carving techniques, which are enough to express the delicate connotation.
